In the 1980s, Merla McCormick, a retired English teacher turned professional gambler became known as Jean Scott, the “Queen of Comps.” In an intimate, first-hand look at Merla’s past 30 years living in Las Vegas, the film explores the idea of identity and how we shape/cultivate it at different times in our lives.
